Senior Logistics Specialist
About Stark Future
Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine.
We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year-on-year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it.
Stark will become the global market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed.
Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution.
This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design.
The Role
Our Logistics team keeps Stark’s global flows moving every day, in both directions and across every market we sell in. It’s a fast, hands-on operation, and it’s growing quickly.
We’re looking for a Senior Logistics Specialist to strengthen it. You’ll work across our flows end to end (including the returns and reverse flows that come with a product built around batteries) sorting out what’s stuck today, improving what keeps getting stuck, and making sure the way we work keeps us on the right side of customs and battery shipping rules without slowing us down.
You’ll sit alongside our Inbound and Outbound Managers, reporting to the Global Logistics Manager. You won’t manage a team, but you’ll be one of the people this operation relies on.
What You’ll Do
Keep the operation moving
Get involved where flows are blocked, delayed or going wrong, and see them through to resolution
Work directly with our transport partners and warehouses to sort out problems and keep them sorted
Keep the teams who depend on us - Production, Sales and Aftersales - informed when something is at risk, before they have to ask
Make sure our logistics data reflects what’s actually happening, so decisions are made on something real
Own our reverse flows
Take ownership of returns and reverse logistics end to end: bikes, parts and batteries coming back from dealers and customers
Set up and run the process for returning, moving and storing batteries safely and compliantly, including damaged and end-of-life packs
Work with Aftersales and Quality so warranty and defective returns move quickly instead of sitting in a corner of a warehouse
Manage the flows to our recycling and repair partners, and keep the documentation and traceability behind them in order
Build reverse logistics into something planned and measured, rather than something that happens to us
Improve how we work
Find where our flows lose time, money and service quality, and fix the causes rather than the symptoms
Simplify and standardise the way we do things, and document it so it holds when people are away or new people join
Cut out manual steps and duplicated work, and push for the right tools where a process needs one
Track how we’re performing in cost, transit time, reliability and use it to argue for change
Keep goods clearing borders without drama
Keep shipments moving through customs and when something gets held, get it released and then fix whatever caused it
Make sure the paperwork is right first time by improving how it’s produced, rather than correcting it shipment by shipment
Work with our brokers and forwarders to sort out clearances quickly, and make sure the same problem doesn’t come back next month
Keep our battery shipments running properly with the partners who handle them: packaging, labelling and declarations that hold up wherever they land
Turn the rules we have to follow into simple ways of working the team can apply without thinking twice
What You Bring
Required
5+ years in international logistics, transport or distribution, with real hands-on operational experience
Experience with customs procedures, export/import documentation and Incoterms
Experience working with freight forwarders, carriers and warehouse partners, and holding them to what they promised
ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
The instinct to fix the cause rather than the symptom, and the persistence to see it through
Fluent English
Nice to have
Spanish
Experience shipping dangerous goods, particularly lithium batteries (UN3480 / UN3566) under ADR, IATA or IMDG — or the appetite to get certified in it
Experience with returns, warranty flows or reverse logistics
Experience with BI tools, dashboards or workflow automation
Why Stark
Competitive salary and benefits package
30 days paid vacation
Subsidised in-house restaurant
Free gym access, including weekends
Direct access to our products, riders and race teams
A creative, international team based in Sant Boi
A logistics function growing fast enough that what you build here will still be running in three years
