About Stark
Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine.
We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year-on-year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it.
Stark will become the global market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed in building the backend for our AI systems.
Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution.
This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design.
The Role
This isn't just a procurement role; it is a strategic position requiring a deep understanding of the global electronics ecosystem. You will be responsible for navigating the complexities of semiconductor cycles, managing relationships with top-tier manufacturers, and identifying technical opportunities within our designs to optimize the supply chain.
You will report directly to the Purchasing Director and work as a bridge between Engineering and the global market to ensure our motorcycles remain at the cutting edge of electric performance.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Sourcing: Navigate the global electronics manufacturing supplier landscape (EMS, Electronic Components Manufacturers & Worldwide Electronics Distributors) to secure best-in-class partnerships.
Market Intelligence: Act as the internal expert on semiconductor trends, memory market volatility, and global supply/demand shifts to proactively mitigate risk.
Technical Portfolio Discovery: Review internal designs and technical portfolios to identify new manufacturers and alternative components (pin-to-pin or functional equivalents) that offer better lead times or cost-efficiency.
Relationship Management: Build and leverage high-level relationships with major component manufacturers and global distributors
Commercial Ownership: Manage RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs; negotiate Master Purchase Agreements that protect Stark’s agility in a volatile market.
Cost & Inventory Control: Drive aggressive cost-reduction activities and "total cost of ownership" models without compromising the technical integrity of our assemblies.
Cross-Functional Engineering Support: Act as a technical consultant to the Engineering team during the design phase to ensure "design-for-availability."
What you will bring to Stark
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of senior sourcing experience, specifically focused on Electronic Components and assemblies.
Education: Electronics Engineer (highly valuable) or a technical degree with significant experience in electronics manufacturing.
Global Landscape Expertise: Deep knowledge of the global semiconductor players (Texas Instruments, STMicroelectronics, NXP, Analog Devices, Rohm, Infineon, Murata, etc.) and the wider distribution network.
Technical Discernment: The ability to read a schematic or BOM and detect opportunities for supplier diversification or technical optimization.
Negotiation Prowess: A skilled negotiator who understands the nuances of the electronics industry, from NRE costs to volume rebates and buffer stock agreements.
Mindset: Results-oriented, highly analytical, and passionate about sustainability.
Communication: Fluent in English (must)
