About Stark
Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine.
We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year-on-year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it.
Stark will become the global market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed in building the backend for our AI systems.
Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution.
This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design.
The Role
We’re looking for a UX Designer to shape the digital experience around an electric motorcycle across mobile app and web touchpoints. This role is for someone who can design practical, high-quality user experiences for riders before, during, and after the ride.
The ideal candidate is not just a strong product designer, but also a real motorcycle user with deep, hands-on familiarity with riding, ownership, and the broader motorcycle experience. Professional experience in the motorcycle industry is strongly preferred.
What you’ll do
Design end-to-end user experiences for web and mobile app features connected to an electric motorcycle ecosystem
Translate rider needs into intuitive flows, interactions, and interfaces
Work on features related to vehicle setup, ride planning, navigation, charging, security, performance, service, ownership, and connected vehicle functionality
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
Collaborate closely with product, engineering, brand, and hardware teams to ensure a seamless experience across physical and digital touchpoints
Bring a strong point of view on how digital products should support real riding scenarios, including safety, attention, glove use, visibility, and in-motion constraints
Participate in user research, testing, and validation with riders
Help define UX principles and product standards for a premium, rider-centered experience
What we’re looking for
Proven experience as a UX Designer or Product Designer working on digital products for web and mobile apps
Strong portfolio showing shipped features and clear thinking around user flows, interaction design, and usability
Direct, hands-on experience as a motorcycle rider is required
Deep understanding of motorcycle usage contexts, rider behavior, and owner needs
Ability to design for real-world vehicle-related scenarios, not just generic consumer app patterns
Comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced product environment
Strong prototyping and communication skills
Strongly preferred
Professional experience in the motorcycle, powersports, automotive, mobility, or connected vehicle space
Experience designing companion apps or digital products tied to hardware
Familiarity with electric vehicle workflows such as charging, range management, trip planning, and vehicle status
Experience conducting field research or usability testing in real-world usage environments
Understanding of designing for safety-critical or attention-constrained contexts
What will make someone stand out
They ride regularly and can speak credibly about rider needs from personal experience
They have worked professionally on motorcycle-related products, services, or rider experiences
They understand the balance between performance, simplicity, and safety in vehicle UX
They can connect the motorcycle, app, and web experience into one coherent ownership journey
What you will bring to Stark
Why work with us?
The chance to work on a product people are genuinely passionate about
A fast-growing company with real momentum
A creative, international team based in Barcelona
Competitive salary and benefits package
Direct access to riders, race teams, and the product — this is not a remote-from-the-product role
Subsidized lunch in our in house restaurant
Free access to our in-house gym (including weekends!)
30 days of paid vacation
