The Role
As our company continues its rapid global growth, we are seeking a highly skilled General Ledger Senior Specialist to strengthen our finance operations and ensure accuracy, transparency, and process optimisation across the business. You will play a key role in managing the general ledger, performing tax and treasury functions, and coordinating with external auditors. With your strong accounting background, ERP expertise, and deep understanding of IFRS, you will help us maintain robust financial controls while supporting strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, international environment.
What You’ll Do
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS standards.
Monthly calculation and posting of various journal entries in all the Group companies, including financial leases and accruals.
Monthly closing and reporting of various companies of the Group.
Manage tax reporting, compliance, and filings in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage information requests issued by public administrations.
Prepare weekly cash flow forecast and vendor payment proposal, and oversee treasury allocation between the various companies and accounts.
Coordinate with external auditors to prepare and deliver audit requirements, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Participate in the preparation of the annual financial statements.
Design and implement internal controls and company accounting policies.
Support process improvements and ERP system optimization to enhance efficiency.
Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and management teams to provide accurate financial data.
What you will bring to Stark
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, with strong exposure to general ledger, tax, and treasury functions.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Spanish GAAP.
Proven experience performing financial audits and/or liaising with external auditors and managing audit processes.
Proficiency with Business Central and/or major ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (English and Spanish).
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
