About Stark
Stark builds the world’s most powerful electric motorcycles. From the VARG MX to the road-legal VARG EX & SM, our bikes have won world championships and are engineered to outperform anything with a combustion engine.
We’re based in Sant Boi, Barcelona, growing fast (77% year-on-year), and building a team that will take us even further. If you want to work on a product that people are genuinely obsessed with, this is it.
Stark will become the global market leader in premium motorcycles. Building premium motorcycles requires innovation and we need your help to make us succeed in building the backend for our AI systems.
Our mission is to lead the way towards a sustainable motorcycle industry, by reducing plastic and CO2 pollution.
This will be achieved by building sustainable products that are superior to traditional technology in terms of Performance, Emotion and Design.
The Role
The Race Engineer – Vehicle Dynamics is responsible for the understanding, development, and continuous improvement of motorcycle performance within Stark Future’s Racing program.
This role focuses on maximizing on-track performance through advanced vehicle dynamics analysis while driving structured development projects across chassis behavior, electric powertrain interaction, and overall motorcycle performance. The engineer will act as a central link between mechanical and electronic engineering departments, translating performance needs into practical engineering solutions.
Working alongside the existing mechanical and electronic engineers, this position plays a key role in defining technical direction and initiating projects that improve handling, traction, efficiency, durability, and rider confidence in racing conditions.
What You’ll Do
Lead analysis and understanding of motorcycle vehicle dynamics including chassis behavior, suspension interaction, mass distribution, traction characteristics, and overall ride performance.
Analyze and optimize the interaction between electric powertrain behavior and vehicle dynamics, including torque delivery, throttle response, regenerative braking effects, and traction generation.
Translate rider feedback and telemetry data into clear engineering objectives and measurable development actions.
Define and propose development projects aimed at improving lap time, rideability, energy efficiency, and race performance.
Support optimization of torque maps, regenerative braking strategies, and control parameters from a vehicle dynamics perspective.
Design and develop performance-related components and concepts using CAD tools (PTC Creo), supporting rapid prototyping and validation.
Support setup definition and optimization including geometry, suspension settings, balance, and dynamic behavior.
Develop testing methodologies and validation procedures for performance upgrades.
Drive correlation between simulation, data acquisition, and real track behavior.
Participate actively in testing and race events to evaluate performance changes and guide technical direction trackside.
Identify performance limitations related to chassis behavior, power delivery characteristics, thermal constraints, and energy usage.
