The Role
As expert in joining processes, you'll be at the forefront of the creation of next-generation electric motorcycles, batteries & associated products. You’ll be responsible for developing the whole joining processes from prototypes to series production in batteries including process qualification, validation and testing. Moreover you will train and qualify inline quality measurement systems, define tools and set requirements for the welding materials and geometry. You will therefore assist Stark’s R&D through advice on internal validation processes & design improvements for series production. You will be part of the growing team for “Production Process Development“ and report to the Team leader and CTO as well. You'll need to have hands-on experience, developing complex assembly processes and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and highly innovative environment.
What You’ll Do
Be the technical lead of developing joining technologies (focus bonding/laser welding)
Install and develop new bonding/laser welding processes
Develop a robust process window for bonding/laser welding in series production for possible variations in the process Install and train online quality measurement systems to control the process in series production
Set requirements for parts (materials/geometry) and tools (for welding)
Define specifications for machines, tools and facilities
Plan and assure that targets are achieved on time within the expected quality & costs.
Conceptualize, bring-up, prototype, test and deliver production welding processes, R&D and in-line validation processes.
Review and approve documentation including drawings, schematics, and detailed procedures.
Ensure internal validation of the overall systems.
Support testing and analyses in other areas of engineering or development.
Support the transition to the manufacturing line.
What you will bring to Stark
Mechanical Engineering degree or similar.
Deep experiences in joining technologies with focus on bonding and laser welding
Experiences in teaching automated welding machines with different materials & geometries
Experiences in designing tools for welding and setting requirements for the parts and tools
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-evolving, highly innovative environment (startups or high-tech companies).
You have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with.
Constantly looking for ways to innovate, improving your products performance, quality, and cost.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fluent English is a must.
